All Natural Facials - Collaboration with "Come Plant With Me"

What a week! Is it just me or are the days really getting shorter? Anyways, we're approaching the end of semester which means it's time for me to wrap up here. Don't worry, I'd be back (with some more fun stuff) I thought since i've talked skin care and ive given you awesome tips that it would be great to talk to you about planting your own skin care products! YES. You've read correctly. You can plant (at home) all natural products to keep your skin healthy and beautiful.

For my blog today i'm doing a colab with my friend  Crystal-Lee from Let's start Growing. She has her own blog Come Plant With Me feel free to check her out for amazing gardening tips guys. She sure helped me alot.

We all know how expensive it can be to purchase facial masks, especially those with all natural ingredients. Well, like i promised, you can grow these 5 plants in your backyard and when the time is right, start making your own beauty masks from them.

So, come plant with us

1. Aloe Plant - Take a look at all the natural beauty products you own, i'm sure aloe is an ingredient. Aloe is a great moisturiser and helps in preventing acne. Just mix part aloe with some honey and apply to the skin once a week for best results. PS, aloe is also really yummy.

2. Carrots-  What? you weren't expecting carrots? Why not? It's good for all sorts of things. It has so much benefits, i can't keep up, but one thing i do know is that a good carrot mask will leave the skin feeling clean and refreshed. just grate one whole carrot and mix together 1tsb olive oil, 1tsb honey 2tsb lemon juice  and leave on face for 10 mins. Carrots is a great cleanser and helps relive the face of impurities.

Safron - I'm sure you've all been to a traditional Hindu wedding where they apply safron to the bride or groom's body so they appear "fairer" well, it's an age old tradition and beauty critics are marvelling over this beauty tip that originated in India. Just add 3-5 strands of safron into a bowl of milk with some honey and set aside for 15 mins. After this time, the mixture should smell a bit high and should have a little texture. The mixture can then be applied over the face an body, drunk or even applied raw.

4. Avocadoes - we all know how special an avacado mask is. It's even better once you eat it. Avacado can be applied rawly to the face or mixed with honey. Now, they do take a while to grow but i promise its worth it. You can also apply to hair for extra strength and shine.

5. Last, but not least, papaya. most of you living in Trinidad has one of these plants in your back yard already, or has a neighbour who has one.  Papaya smells great and has vitamins A,C,E and K and just like Safron, helps in lightening complexion and acts as the skins natural SPF.  The fun part of this mask is you can eat it right off and it smells delicious.
