Coconut oil is the holy grail of beauty products. I mean, coconut oil has been used for centuries to solve our beauty problems, long before we knew of moisturiser, shaving cream and deep conditioning.
Our ancestors had been using coconut oil, long before we were even born, and they had perfect skin.
i absolutely love coconut oil. it's possibilities ae endless. Coconut oil is already used in many "natural" beauty products, so why not just use the damned raw oil? Here are some absolutely amazing uses of coconut oil.
- Moisturizing - Age old trick. the natural oils in coconut oil is found to keep skin smooth, soft and silky, not to mention, you smell like a beach vacation. If you have dry skin like me, this hack is really a holy grail.
- Shaving cream- That's right. Apply a small layer onto course hairs to soften, making it easy to remove, plus it doubles as it heals the dry skin immediately.
- MakeUp remover- Bye bye Micellar cleansing water. Hello, Coconut oil. Remove makeup while healing skin and preventing wrinkles? Bonus!
- Hair Conditioner- Warm some coconut oil and leave onto hair after shampoo and notice the natural shine in your hair, even days after. Hint: it's a great dandruff treatment.
- Body Scrub- Coconut oil doubles well as an exfoliator. who would have thought? it gets rid of dry and dead skin cells for a refreshed and natural glow.
- MakeUp Brush Cleaner - Adding a small hint of coconut oil to your makeup cleaner makes sure you get rid of that foundation stuck there since last month.
- Stretch mark cream - Add to cocoa butter and shea butter, warm it up before use and prevent stretch marks. Can't get a better combination
- Highlighter- Thats right!! Out of your fav highlighter. Dab some coconut oil on your cheekbone for a natural luminescence glow. Thank me later.
